ADSC researchers took the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) by a storm last month in Firenze, Italy. ADSC had seven papers accepted and presented at the main conference, in addition to presenting papers during two workshops.

University of Illinois Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) researcher Jiwen Lu was recently awarded the Best Student Paper Award from the Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association (PREMIA) of Singapore for a paper published at the 2011 International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV).

Advanced Digital Sciences Center researchers Bingbing Ni and pei [dot] yong adsc [dot] com [dot] sg (Yong Pei) won the 2012 Human Activities Recognition and Localization (HARL) competition, held in conjunction with International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), the leading conference on pattern recognition.

The Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) and A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) hosted a Summer School on Multimodal Signal Analysis from June 28 – July 4, 2012.
