OVERVIEW
Research is important to driving meaningful impacts on communities. Frameworks, embedded with technologies and empirical evaluations, are developed to produce scalable solutions. The research portfolio, which consists of cybersecurity and future food, is rooted in data and utilizes data analysis to identify and optimize processes.
Living in today’s interconnected world is more than navigating the challenges of the global digital landscape. Engagement with real-time data and cyber activities leads to building resilience and recovering from the risks of cyberattacks and disruption. By predicting how the cyber-plexus infrastructures behave, areas are identified where protection and monitoring are at their most critical. The individual issues are then addressed in the systems by designing an architecture to contain and coordinate the cyber-physical systems in the critical infrastructures.
The global food system is evolving and will continue to change, bringing the food landscape to the crossroads between food security, sustainability, and affordability. Aligned with Singapore’s food sustainability goal, the nation’s micronutrient food insecurity is addressed through precision fermentation. This food technology also brings about breakthroughs that help combat climate change that result in lower carbon dioxide emissions and require less energy, water, and land space, enabling sustainable implementation in the urban environment.
